Parallel battery bank wiring It matters how a battery bank is wired into the system. When wiring a battery bank, it is easy to make a mistake. One of the most common mistakes is to parallel all the batteries together and then connect one side of the parallel battery bank to the electrical installation. As indicated in the image on the right.
Remember, electricity flows through parallel or series connections as if it were a single battery. It can't tell the difference. Therefore, you can parallel two sets of batteries that are in series to create a series-parallel setup. First, we recommend putting each set in series first.
In a parallel connection, the batteries are linked side-by-side. This configuration keeps the voltage the same but increases the capacity. For instance, connecting two 3.7V 100mAh lithium cells in parallel will result in a total capacity of 200mAh while maintaining the voltage at 3.7V.
